Based on the success and positive feedback of 2007, One-on-One meetings are back for the 2008 National Buyer/Seller Forum.

The National Buyer/Seller Forum One-on-One Meetings are a valuable way to meet face-to-face with potential oil sands buyers.  To see more details on the equipment and service opportunities for each of the hosts, you must first register for the forum and login to the One-on-One Scheduling System.

One-on-One meetings give Alberta’s oil sands Buyers the opportunity to meet with potential suppliers or partners (you, the Seller). In 2007, more than 500 One-on-One meetings took place; resulting in the beginnings of the relationships needed to develop strategic supply networks.

Some of the comments made from last year’s hosts included:

“We made a lot of quality contacts with companies we probably never would have through this event.”
“Good way to meet many suppliers quickly.”
“Very well organized and it was interesting to meet other fabricators.”
“Exceptional concept. I was able to interview 15 potential suppliers of which I could see doing business with 12 of them.”
“I loved it! It gives us a great idea of what Canada is capable of doing.”

100 percent of Buyers said they would follow-up with at least one Seller from their meetings!

Each afternoon of the Forum is set aside for scheduled One-on-Ones. This is your opportunity to meet the oil sands Buyers and start the conversation that can lead to a supply chain partnership.

You should attend if you’re looking to:

  • Develop a partnership or strategic alliance to enter the Alberta market
  • Expand your supply chain network
  • Find suppliers or buyers to meet new technological and environmental requirements
  • Meet partners who can help enhance your bottom line
  • Develop a long-term supply strategy

New for 2008:

  • On-line appointment scheduling system allowing improved matchmaking capability
  • An expanded range of industry sectors
